David Schwimmer is the latest Friends castmember to pay tribute to Matthew Perry, taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning to share a look back at his time with his late colleague and pal. Perry died unexpectedly last month at the age of 54.

In his post, Schwimmer thanks Perry for 10 “incredible years of laughter and creativity” on the hit NBC sitcom.

“I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery,” he added. “You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes. And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers.”

Schwimmer accompanied his caption with a photo of his and Perry’s characters, Ross and Chandler, in their Miami Vice-inspired college attire, as shown in a Thanksgiving flashback episode.
Schwimmer called the image “one of my favorite moments with you.”

“Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time,” he added. “I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around — ’Could there BE any more clouds?’”

Schwimmer’s post comes after fellow castmembers Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston all shared personal tributes to Perry on their respective Instagram accounts this week. The cast shared a group statement just days after Perry was found dead.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,” the group wrote in their statement. “We were more than just castmates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
