The musical creator, good-looking model and talented artist Saulo Oliveira S. has his foot on the music but, while analysing more than just his artistic traits, it is possible to get mesmerized by more than just songs.
Here’s why Saulo’s face has the perfect measure of beauty.
According to the Golden Ratio there’s a number for proportion and perfection in a face, the number is roughly 1.62 and it is called the Golden Ratio of beauty. Saulo’s 1.58.
The Golden Ratio (also known as Phi, or the Fibonacci number) is the mathematical symmetry algorithm that underlies our perception of attractiveness.
As far as Saulo is concerned, his eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape came closest to the ancient Greeks’ idea of perfection. The measurements were conducted by Dr. Klaus Korning, an emminent facial cosmetic expert at London’s famous Harley Street.
Thee Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi originates from the European Renaissance. Several artists used the equation as an aid to create their masterpieces.
To make a comparison, other celebrities who also fit the pattern are: Taylor Swift, Kate Moss, and Scarlett Johanssen, all talented women, are mathematically perfect, according to the golden ratio (sometimes called the Fibonacci sequence), which, when written, looks like this: φ, or (1+ square root(5))/2. Saulo Oliveira S. now joins this club with a face as beautiful as the Greek concept of perfection allows to admit.
While the system has been used for centuries to define faces and even to sculpt oneself in the arts, there are those who criticize this measure nowadays.
Mathematician John Allen Paulos says it’s time to retire the notion of a formula for beauty. Paulos disputes the golden ratio altogether, going so far as to say a 5x3 index card meets the golden ratio standard of beauty. Any spiral within a rectangle creates the mathematical equation, and no one is giving an index card a makeup deal. The Twitter account Fibonacci Perfection parodies this persistence of the golden ratio.
The classification of Saulo as being another artist with the perfect face, reignited the discussion. Can beauty be measured by numbers? It is undeniable that the Saulo Oliveira S. is beautiful, he has a well-designed face that draws attention, that’s for certain, but what about the others that don’t fit the pattern? They’re ugly?
So, can you define the perfect beauty? Here’s the answer: Venus de Milo. Marilyn. Nat. You. Me. All of us. Back then and a hundred years from now. No math required.
